about

I wrote these 8 songs shortly after studying abroad in London in 2009, where a friend had started teaching me guitar. Back in Rochester that winter, my friend, (and local indie legend) Tim Avery, helped me record them in his house. I handed my first album out for free in brown paper bags at a house party in the spring of 2010. Fast forward 7 years, and I am so excited to have finally had the chance to record these professionally, with 7 more years of experience playing and singing. Recorded with Dave Drago at 1809 Studios in the summer of 2016. I love these old songs, and I hope you will too.

Other musicians playing on the album include Gabe Schliffer (cello) and Ben Roidl-Ward (bassoon).

Jon Lewis created an animated music video for the song Little Girl: www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1290tX_A2U

Hi! I'm a singer-songwriter from Rochester, NY. I'm inspired by our long winters; they challenge us and force us to spend a lot of contemplative time inside. During the coldest winter on record, I wrote the songs that became Snowbound. Tim Avery, music booker at the Bug Jar, calls them, "Haunting melodies draped over brooding lyrical bones." Thank you for listening. ... more
